Prerna Prabhakar

Associate Fellow

Prerna Prabhakar is an Associate Fellow at the National Council of Applied Economic Research. Her primary areas of research include international economics and land related issues. At NCAER, she was a part of the research team for conducting a pilot impact assessment exercise of the Digital India-Land Records Modernization Programme, a Government of India programme to modernise land records in India. Her other assignments at NCAER involved work on the NCAER State Investment Potential Index (NSIPI), 2017 edition. Her current research interests pertain to land institutions and its linkages with the economy and hence the influence on the global competitiveness.  

Prerna has a Ph.D. in International Trade from the Department of Business Economics, University of Delhi, and MSc in Economics from TERI University.

  • April 2014-June 2015: Research Associate under Prof. Surender Kumar in a project sponsored by South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics (SANDEE)
     
  • June 2011-December 2011: Research Assistant under Dr. Ram Upendra Das at Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) 
     
  • May 2010-July 2010: Intern at the Centre for WTO Studies, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT)
